Nottingham Business School at Nottingham Trent University offers a comprehensive suite of dynamic, highly flexible and completely relevant courses which is shaped by the demands of today’s global business environment. Our courses are designed to give you the knowledge and skills that employers are looking for, opening the door to an exciting, challenging and rewarding career.
Nottingham Business School is based in the Newton Building, which is at the heart of the University’s City site. The building has undergone an extensive transformation into a brand new state-of-the-art complex, including a range of lecture theatres halls and teaching areas as well as space of activities, exhibitions, social and study zones.

Nottingham: a vibrant city
Nottingham’s a big place, but its centre is surprisingly compact, with everything you need close by. Recent regeneration projects have breathed new life into its streets, with an eclectic mix of old and new buildings, a sleek new market square and a very handy state-of-the-art tram system.

We offer a comprehensive suite of dynamic, highly flexible and relevant undergraduate courses in a range of areas including:
• Accounting and Finance
• Business
• Business Economics
• Business Information Management
• Economics
• Economics, Finance and Banking
• International Business
• International Business with French
• Marketing, Design and Communication
We also offer the innovative course rich in practical experience – BA (Hons) Business Management (In-Company). The first year is spent at Nottingham Business School and then during Years Two and Three you will work in a well known company. Your course fees and a salary are paid by your placement company in the second and third year so you can earn while you learn!
If you’re looking at converting your Business or Management HND, Foundation Degree or equivalent into a bachelors degree then our top-up courses may interest you. We offer three one year top-up courses:
• BA (Hons) Marketing Management
• BA (Hons) International Business Administration
• BA (Hons) Management and Information Systems
Placement opportunities
Nottingham Business School students really benefit from our close links with companies, and for those courses with placements, great importance is attached to the optional year spent in industry. We see the role of a work placement as preparing you for the world of work, a world that demands skills and life-long learning to keep pace with the increasing rate of change in the labour market. More than 300 companies approach the School annually with placements and many choose only to take NTU students on their placement schemes because of our links with them. Employers that regularly recruit Nottingham Business School students for a placement period include: Pirelli, Next plc, Xerox, Experian, IBM and The Walt Disney Company plus many more.
