HND Courses at Greenwich University

Kaley Cooper
I attained high enough grades to enter the BSc Hons Computing course
back in 2000, yet I was unsure if another 3 years in education was
right for me, so I opted to start on a HND level.
The
staff at Greenwich were very understanding and guided me in the right
direction. I started on the HND for my first year, really enjoyed
it in terms of the topics I studied and the great friends that I met,
so after my first year I joined the degree program. Admittedly it
was difficult, especially meeting coursework deadlines, but it was
worth it. I had a great time, especially as I look back on it now.
Graduation was the greatest! Right up to the day I thought I
would feel stupid in the cap and gown but let me tell you, you feel
great, you know you have worked towards something and achieved
something that will be with you for life.
So along with my diploma I also made some great friends for life too.
Then the job hunt started. I joined an agency and as soon as I put my
C.V online I received numerous positions. When I went for the
interview, my interviewees were very impressed with my skills and
subjects studied at Greenwich, even the skills weeks added another
notch to my requirements. So I was hired and am now what they call an
IT Analyst for a large organisation called St-Ives. I am loving it at
the moment, I am being sent on courses and just enjoying the industry.
I now know my employees well and have recently asked them why they
hired me rather than the other applicants to which they replied "we
liked that you had studied various and up to date technologies".
Greenwich had defiantly helped me in the start to my career and I feel
sure it will continue to aid me through it too. I am even considering
taking a part time course... If I do, Greenwich will surely be the
place...
