Just some of the comments made by students about their visit to previous University of Derby Open Days. 

And now prospective students are being encouraged to consider Derby again as they consider their higher education options for September 2006.

Both our Kedleston Road and Buxton campuses are gearing up for Open Days over the next few weeks where students can look around our facilities, meet academics and look at what is on offer.

All the courses are geared towards industry, training for future careers and enhancing knowledge in a whole host of areas, from catering to tourism, business to IT, education to science and art to technology.

The courses are designed that students are well equipped for the world of work and leave the University with the life skills they need to succeed in any job and further study.

Both staff and existing students will be available for a chat on the day, so not only can visitors ask questions about the subjects and study routes they are interested in, but they will also be able to gain an insight into student life.

You can also talk to specialist staff about important issues such as finance and tuition fees, admissions, specialist support and careers.

Visits to our Halls of Residence will run throughout the day (you can book for these on arrival), and current students will be happy to give you a tour of the campus.

We will be holding Open Days for courses based at all our Derby campuses on the following dates:

Wednesday 26 October 2005
Saturday 5 November 2005

There are Open Days at our stunning new Buxton campus, based within the former Devonshire Royal Hospital, recently refurbished in a £20m programme. The dates for Buxton are:
