Do you want to start earning but keep on learning?
An apprenticeship with BT gives you the best of both worlds as well as a foothold in a global communications business that offers excellent career opportunities to everyone.
Brief info on BT apprenticeship:
Career Start, our apprenticeship scheme, gives you hands-on experience in the real world of work and a salary while you’re studying.
As well as a competitive salary, this is a great chance for you to build a career, to keep learning and start earning, in a challenging and dynamic environment. BT now offers all successful apprentices the chance to study for further education qualifications up to and including degree level after their apprenticeship.
We still have some apprenticeship opportunities available across the UK, in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Fleet Service and Business Management. There are a variety of roles to choose from - the more flexible you are about where you work, the more we can offer.
To become an apprentice at BT, you must be aged between 16 and 21 on 1st September 2005 and have 3, 4 or 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above (or equivalent) including English Language and Maths.
Your starting salary will be from £10,144. There is also a range of benefit options, including 25 days holiday a year, company pension scheme, sharesave and discounts on BT products.
We aim to offer one of the best apprenticeship schemes in the UK. The development programme takes approximately three years to achieve (three and a half years for Vehicle Maintenance). You will work towards an NVQ level 3 in your chosen work area, a Key/Core Skills qualification and in most cases a BTEC (or similar) further education qualification or technical certificate. There is also the opportunity to study for further education qualifications up to and including degree level after completion of your apprenticeship.
To find out what you could gain from a BT apprenticeship, read the experiences of some of our recent apprentices and visit our website at www.bt.com/careers to apply online.
The closing date for applications is 29th April 2005.
