Discover Computing and Mathematical Sciences
If you want to learn how to build websites, design databases, create computer applications, provide information services and control the computers that run our lives then Huddersfield University’s Department of Computing and Mathematical Sciences has a course for you.
This department covers a wide area including Business Computing, Software Development and Engineering, and Computing Science. Business Computing and Software Development can be combined with studies in other areas, such as French, Psychology, Artificial Intelligence and Internet Systems.
We also offer an MEng course, European Computer Science, which includes 2 years study with partnership universities in other countries within the EU.

Department of Multimedia and Information Systems
Taking in the range of E-commerce, Computer Games Programming, Interactive Multimedia, and Multimedia Design and Technology, we hold our own annual Multimedia Showcase, attended by local industry.
The department also has their own independent design company, Canalside Media, which works on real projects for outside companies including websites, e-commerce facilities and re-branding. The company was featured on BBC2’s Working Lunch programme in 2002 and has enjoyed full order books since it began trading in 2000.
