Medical-Doctor

I am interested in becoming a Hospital Doctor and would like some information on the training process, ie. what do you do to become a doctor after you have completed a 5/6 year medical degree.

I also would like to know what ALevels to take in for medical school.

And lastly, what forms of work experience is available to find out more about this type of career at the age of 15.

At the age of 15 it would be best if you apply to local hospitals and/or doctor’s surgeries for your 2 week compulsory work experience. Hospitals generally take on more work experience applicants; they usually have a group of up to 10 students of your age doing work experience in the summer term and if you try all those in your region you’re likely to be offered a placement from at least one of them. Although you won’t be given much choice in terms of the ward and tasks it will be a good chance to experience the hospital environment.
