Subject: Paramedic / Ambulance service Qualifications

hi my name pete cuningham im 21 years old, i realy want to be a paramedic, i have got a few first aid certificates (oxygen therapy, defibrillation certificate) and i am a neighbourhood first responder, i have read i am supposed to have 4-5 GCSE'S grades c or above i have an NVQ level 2 from what i have found out it is the equivalent to 4-5 GCSE'S grades c or above

Does anyone know if given the qualifications i have, would i be eligible if i applied? or would i still need further certificates?

Dear Pete

Sorry to see no-one had replied to your questions. You may have already found out about becoming a paramedic but if not, visit NHS Careers (www.nhscareers.nhs.uk) and look at the explore by careers section to find out exactly what the entry criteria are. Good luck!
