Hi Deezer,
If you keep logging on to the website, you'll soon see an article all about how to become an editor. The main thing is to get good A levels/AVCE'S and hopefully a degree in English or Publishing. Try to get some holiday work either with a local paper as a dogsbody or a publishing house. Good Luck.

hi i am currently studying Alevels an am predicted an A and 3 B's however i have done 4 work experience placements at local newspapers and i am unsure of which degree to take at uni. i am still undecided on a career however favour journalism, accountancy, politics, and would very much like to be an editor. what degree would you suggest to give me plenty of career options in the mention type of careers.

You must speak to your head of year and career teacher who can give you lots of info on different degrees based on what your A levels are. English is the obvious choice for journalism but it may be that doesn't fit in with your A levels. Take a look at this website
http://www.ready2xl.co.uk/journalism.html it's by a student at Leeds University who wants to break into journalism. I think you'll find it very interesting and hopefully helpful. :)
