how do I become a scene of crime officer?

Subject: how do I become a scene of crime officer?

This is from Cazzie through our career advise section.

careerquestion = what qualifications do you need to be a crime scene
investigator within the police force?

It varies between police forces. Some require a minimum of three GCSEs (A-C/1-3), with English, maths and a science subject preferred. Others demand A-levels and a few require a relevant degree. Significant photographic experience may be required in some forces. An NVQ2 in photography would be good evidence of this. u need 5 GCSE's A-C in maths, english and science and 1 A-level in a science related area. But even with this and a degree at university doesn't mean you will automatically get a job in the forensic science area just because you have the qualifications.

Hi,
If you look at the forum index you will see that someone else has asked this. The short answer is you don't need any particular qualifications. Do look at the other question for a more full answer. There are some interesting police profiles in the article section, you must have a look at those as well. Good Luck!

hi i am take my gcse's now i would read your booklet and research it on the the net and find out what qualifications you need and then chosse what opions you need for that caceer in the futher :P
